What is the BEST food mark for my male cat?
Hi.
I have a two year old male cat and I really want to avoid UTI and blockages. I have been feeding him wet food for a long time, but not good quality one.
Which one is the best wet food mark for him? I live in Kosovo and he only have ver bad food marks here. But I plan to order it from abroad. So please, I dont care how expensive it is.
I heard wellness had a recall and the natural thing got bought by a bad food company.
The best food I can get here in Kosovo is royal canin, and I dont think it is a very good one when it comes to wet food.Please help.

You are on the right track by feeding a wet food if you are concerned about urinary tract health. Encouraging water intake is probably the most important single thing you can do to keep your cat’s urinary tract healthy. I always recommend that cat owners include wet food in their cat’s diet.
The most common type of urinary tract disorder in cats is called “idiopathic hematuria”. The term idiopathic means that we don’t know what causes it and there may be several causes. Diet plays a role in some cases of FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease) but only in a minority of cases and there are actually two types of stones or crystals involved.
To help prevent these types of FLUTD the diet should promote moderate urine acidification. Look for a wet food that makes some claim about urinary tract health. The diet should promote moderate urine acidification and be complete and balanced for adult maintenance. I’ll link to a couple of examples below.
