Wellness Puppy Food Large Breed
Switching from Solid Gold to Wellness?
My husky puppy’s poop is brown and somewhat watery. I can pick it up from grass with a bag but I can’t pick up 100% of the poop because the poop stains the grass. He is 11 weeks old and he is eating Solid Gold Wolf Cub and he LOVES it but his tummy doesn’t. I don’t know what is upsetting his stomach! He used to eat Purina Puppy Chow and his poop was solid black. My first guess would be that bison (the number 1 product in Solid Gold Wolf Cub) doesn’t agree with my husky pup’s stomach. I am now thinking about changing his food to Wellness Super5Mix Large Breed Puppy Health Puppy Food. Because his stomach doesn’t agree with Solid Gold, should I still gradually change the food to Wellness? or should I do an immediate change?
Yes, I gradually changed his food from Purina Puppy Chow to Solid Gold Wolf Cub in a week plus. (Mixing the food each day) He has been on Solid Gold Wolf Cub for 1 – 2 weeks
It will probably be better to do a gradual change because you don’t know if he has a sensitive stomach or not. My dog has been changed plenty of times so I know now she doesn’t have a sensitive stomach so I can change her immediately whenever I want. Puppies tend to have more sensitive stomachs.
