Is Wellness Indoor Cat (Adult) a Good Choice?
I recently adopted a young adult female from the animal shelter where she was eating kitten formula since she was housed with a younger kitten (not hers).
I don’t know much about cat nutritional needs other than they need a higher protein diet than a dog. My dog eats Wellness, so I just grabbed the cat food without really thinking about it. She is an indoor cat now.
She does have some dandruff, but I’m guessing that that is because of a low quality diet more than anything else – the vet gave her a clean bill of health other than that.
If Wellness Indoor Cat isn’t an ideal food for my cat, could you recommend some other brands of food?

Wellness is not a low quality diet. It’s one of the best feline food out there. It has no animal by-product, corn, or high fructose syrups. My cat has eaten it all her life and she’s healthy. The dandruff just means your cat needs more oil supplements. You can buy that from the pet store, like a vitamin E or fish oil which just pumps into the food. You can also get cat oil bath spray and spray onto the fur to help keep her skin moisturized.
