Grain-free or weight management?

I have two cats, one is overweight and the other is on the lean side. I currently have them on Wellness Core dry twice a day. I have a feeling that the overweight cat is eating more than her share of the food at each feeding. Should I switch them to the Healthy Weight version of Wellness? What can I do to help her lose some weight without starving my other cat?

You may have to feed them separately and measure out the food. Wellness Core is a great food, holistic with quality protein sources and gives your cats everything they need…BUT your ‘larger’ cat may not be exercising those calories off, so he’ll need less food. It’s all about intake vs output. You don’t have to switch food, just the amount.
Make sure your cat doesn’t get treats or table scraps
Cut back on how much your larger cat eats, feed the cats separately (maybe if your home is two floors, you can make your larger cat go upstairs to eat).
If you’d like, I can calculate the exact calories your cat should be eaten. I’ll need to know his/her weight, whether he/she is spayed, neutered, or intact, and how old your cat is.
