How come nobody wants to talk about the real problem with healthcare?

Insurance. People want the insurance companys to pay for everything then wonder why the costs keep going up. The doctors and hospitals are sure to make money because they get it from the insurance co. and insurance company’s are sure to get paid by the insured and the insured know they will get healthcare. Everybody thinks they are getting something for nothing. The only solution to increased health costs is to ban insurance (except for wellness, emergency and catasrophic perposes. Patient will stop going to doctors for every little ailment. Doctors and hospitals will be forced to lower their prices because of lowered demand.

You are so wrong, I don’t even know where to start, are you someone who has never been in hospital, or are you just too young to know whats what?
Insurance companies don’t like to pay for anything, including the most ordinary of things, let alone the cosmetic procedures which are never covered. Insurance companies make their money by raising fees and lowering costs, they make arrangements with hospitals and doctors without regard for the well being of the patient. Remember drive through deliveries, or no payment for breast reconstruction after mastectomy for cancer? People can’t afford to take off work to go to doctors for ‘every little thing’, most won’t even go for serious stuff, a fact that makes doctors crazy.
People don’t get sick so they can use their insurance, they get sick or have accidents and then pray insurance will cover them. I’ve had operations put off, had to go to my state insurance board to get approval, and this was just for a dumb, standard hernia op, not some weird new science.
They just didn’t want to pay, hoped I get tired of fighting and pay for it myself I guess.
I pay for that insurance, I do have the right to use it, they apparently feel all I have to do is pay them and not use it.
Doctors and hospitals already lower their prices, not because of lowered demand, but because of price fixing by the insurance company. We just had Aetna, refuse to pay anything to one hospital here until they signed Aetnas contract which doesn’t pay the hospital much at all.
Didn’t you know these things, before you decide that Aunt Mary was seeing her doctor for the sniffles?
