Wellness Diagnosis List
Therapy question re insurance?
I am applying for a new insurance plan. I have been seeing a counselor for well-being and general maintenance for several months now, and I have to list this on the form for the new insurance application. What’s the best and least inflamatory way to say this that doesn’t imply a diagnosis? I want them to know that these visits are for wellness only, so they won’t try to label any kind of pre-exisiting condition and not pay for further visits… any thoughts?
Are you sure you need to list a counselor? I was under the impression you needed to list only medical doctors. I would definitely check this out first. Then I would list the visits as “wellness visits”.
