Do you realize what public Healthcare would mean for millions of Americans?
As i was reading all the misleading republican propaganda that is being posted on YA about healthcare.I was wondering how many of you have done any research on the real issues of healthcare in this country /Do you realize what it would mean if all Americans were covered by a healthcare plan other than the for profit insurance companies who already decide who get coverage and what doctors they can see ?
Public healthcare for All Americans would mean.
Reduce long-term growth of health care costs for businesses and government
Protect families from bankruptcy or debt because of health care costs
Guarantee choice of doctors and health plans
Invest in prevention and wellness
Improve patient safety and quality of care
Assure affordable, quality health coverage for all Americans
Maintain coverage when you change or lose your job
End barriers to coverage for people with pre-existing medical conditions
First of all, Obama is not going to bring in universal healthcare. He wants to make insurance more available to all.
Second, of course universal health-cover sucks. That is why we in Western Europe have it. We think, hmm, our healthcare system sucks. I know, lets keep it. I guess that is the same with Japan and Canada as well.
FACT – the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet.
FACT – the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage.
That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, Cuba, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage.
