Weight Loss Whey Protein Shake Recipes
I want you to create a shake recipe blended with a pure soy protein with no dairy or caffiene?
Imagine for purposes unknown we restrict ourself to Herbalife Formula 1 without the protein powder, it has to be as smooth as cream and use fruit juice but contain no dairy or caffiene?
Has to have no more than half a cup of fruit pieces your choice what kind, has to have at least pure fruit juice with either all or part water?
Imagine it is summer, imagine you want to create alertness and relaxed attitude as focussed?
Focus a recipe either for weight loss, ie even only one brand name of a juice, NB no drinks containing sugar!!!
Soy milk, goats milk, etc etc is okay, there are about 8 illnesses which can not have dairy, that is why I ask, soy icecream is allowable but try not to use ice, and imagine blending recipe in shaker or blender and describe how served in glass type and describe taste!
Why Herbalife? No reason, most protein powders contain either skim milk powder or whey and Herbalife wont put harmful ingredients like creatine in it as a highly ethical company.
1 scoop Soy protein poweder/Herbalife
A handful of frozen fruit (ready packaged frozen fruit, or fresh fruit frozen in tupperware) (berries for a berry flavoured shake/passion fruit, mango, kiwi etc for a tropical flavoured shake)
A generous splash of orange juice or mango juice (a clear juice wouldn’t absorb and blend with the other ingredients as nicely)
1 Banana (adds creaminess and fights of tartness)
Blend it all together. For a thicker shake, periodically turn the blender off and stir the contents, and for an easier to drink consistency, add more juice.
Homemade gelato, if you have time, can be a real treat to add to the shake. This is certainly not an official recipe, just something I used to do as a kid. Freeze a container full of any juice, and when it’s frozen, but not impossibly frozen, break into chunks, blend, and refreeze. No sugar no nothing. My personal favorite is watermelon and lychee chunks blended and frozen. If you want a cold shake with no hassle of the gelato, just throw in some ice cubes with the rest of the ingredients being blended.
For a creamier shake, add silken tofu (fine, soft quality). For a dessert milkshake you can use soy protein, silken tofu, chocolate powder and then a banana for sweetness and texture. Blend with ice cubes.
For a textured milkshake (especially good with strawberry and berry flavours), add rolled oats or textured soy protein.
I don’t have exact quantities because I tend to just put more of what I like more!
