Weight Loss Miracle
Topamax…A miracle weight loss pill?
Has anyone experienced dramatic wieghtloss with the prescription drug topamax. I was prescribed it for migraines, which it has helped tremendously. A side effect that has come along with it is weight loss. I was previously 109 pounds, now a month later, I’m down to 101 pounds. I’m probably going to have to go off of the drug because of this particular side effect. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced it, if so, does it subside or do you keep losing weight on this medicine?
I took this med for one year. I did lose weight – about 10 pounds over the course of a year. No secret why – I was sick the whole time I took it! I vomited a lot the first few months, after a year maybe twice a week. My hands and feet were also numb the whole time. I did not have kidney stones, which apparently a lot of people on it do.
I feel great now that I’m off the med 
. I’ve also gained back the 10 pounds.
