Weight Loss Lollipops
Does this sound like anorexia to you?
I started skipping meals last term and I only ate dinner and afternoon tea. Then the holidays came around and it was hard to avoid meals. But now it’s term again I’ve resumed not eating so I eat a very minimal amout. Today I ate a few small bits of carrot, a chocolate bar, (which I tried to avoid but ended up eating it because I didn’t want to make my nan suspicious.) a few jellybeans and 2 lollipops. When I stared doing this I was a horrendous 56kg. That was Tuesday. Now it’s Friday and I’m 54.1 kgs. Is this normal(ish) weight loss or a bit extreme? I also have a thinspiration book and write on my stomach and wear a rubber band around my wrist and snap it whenever I think about eating. I tip my lunch ou the window every day.
You obviously have issues but personally I don’t think you are suffering from Anorexia, I think you are TRYING to be Anorexic and there is a huge difference. The term ‘pro ana’ comes to mind!
Admittedly, as someone who nearly died due to Anorexia, and now lives with medical complications due to the illness I can be rather harsh with people who WANT to become Anorexic.
Anorexia is not a trend to be experimented with, it is a serious illness. Anorexia will not make you beautiful, popular nor glamorous. Starving yourself will only land you in sickness and, quite possibly, death.

I’m not a heart-less bitch, I do care and you obviously have concerns regarding the way you look and I would recommend you talk to someone about them. Just please don’t try to develop Anorexia. Because, believe me… if you did, you would seriously regret it.
