Weight Loss And The Brain
Looking for site that has counseling for after weight loss.?
I have had the children, gained the weight, and lost it and then some. My only concern is that I was overweight for so long, my brain hasn’t caught up with the weight loss. I go shopping for clothes in my new size and I can’t get it through my head that I fit in those clothes, as I head for the wrong department with larger clothing like I am used to, or I see a picture of me now, and I can’t relate that it is me. It is like my brain is still fat, but I am not. I don’t have food issues, I lost it the right way, but I have something weird going on, like distorted body image. I hold up my jeans and my brain sees them as too small, but when I put them up against my body, they obviously aren’t. Anyone else have anything like this or know of websites dealing with it? I am completely mentally stable otherwise, nothing else going on. I guess it is kind of like when I was big- I was always avoiding mirrors. I find I still do that, and I have no reason to now?
i am having it all the time – either taking bigger or smaller clothes. buying jeans is a murder for me – i take 4 SIZES of the same jeans model. keeping in mind i have never changed very much in size – i have always had athletic perfect body. so u re not the only one and instead of wasting money on counselling go and buy yourself smth nice. take 3 sizes of the same item. i live like this all my life, i am still existing
