Weight Loss After Gallbladder Removal
Rapid weight loss after gallbladder surgery?
Just curious if anyone has experienced rapid weight loss after gallbladder surgery? My wife had her operation on removal of her bile duct from the liver and her gallbladder removed around Christmas. She since has been experiencing pain that does not go away and her doctor has found nothing in the blood tests and or physical. But she complains of pain still, and recently she has noticed she has lost weight a rapid pace.
Has anyone experienced this?

Removable of the bile duct? Never heard of that.
When the bladder is removed, the duct from the liver is sewn together with the duct that was attached to the bladder, and feeds directly from the liver to the duct valve at the intestine. The bladder “storage” no longer exists but function is usually normal.
The liver must be able to feed bile to the intestine.
Maybe an X-Ray or MRI is in order.
