The FDA just approved the new weight loss drug Xenical that will be sold under the name “alli”. It basically takes the fat from the food you eat, and gets rid of it through your colon and digestive system. If you eat a real fatty meal, you might not make it to the toilet. Would you risk public humiliation and days spent in the bathroom to speed up your weight loss? when will it be available?
I took prescription strength Xenical a few years ago. The basic facts, it blocks 30% of the calories from fat that you ingest. The fats simply go through your system undigested.
Let’s put it this way, they come out exactly the same as they went in. Pure oil.
The bad side effects can be avoided by eating a diet VERY low in fat and calories. Even modest portions of a fatty food will have a negative, ugly effect.
