Healthy Weight Loss Low Carb Diet

Is a low-carb/ low calorie diet safe for 2 weeks?
I am not fat at all but would like to loose 10 pounds. I made a meal plan consisting of protien and veges (similar to south beach) I have been told that low carb is not healthy however it does jumpstart weight loss. Is it dangerous to go on low carb for two weeks, basically be eating eggs for breakfast with a vege juice, lunch is salad with chicken and dinner would be a protien with more veges? I would also have protien shakes whenever I get hungry. Is this to little or not healthy?? Only two weeks, then I plan on eating one carb (bread, pasta or rice) a day. Not overload the carbs but just enough =-)
That is actually a pretty healthy diet plan. Veggies have carbs in them so you are getting some, just not as many as you would if you were eating bread all day. The unhealthy part of low carb diets is when you think you can eat all the fatty meats you want. When cutting down on your carbs you will lose water weight faster than on many diets, which means it can come back on easily. You just have to be careful to eat well when you start eating more carbs again. Good luck.
