I live in NYC, is puppy health insurance really worth it?
Or can I just take care of her on my own for cheaper. I see a plan I want..includes all wellness, etc..but it’s $53/month. Not too bad..but I’m getting her first shots and check up for around that much…so I feel like for months at a time that $53 is going down the drain..and I could just save it to buy her stuff as I go along. She’s a Pom-Shi.
Is she a sickly dog? If not, save yourself $53/month. Eventually you’ll have to take her to the vet for something, but it won’t be $53 every month. Be sure that you have enough saved up for emergencies and the inevitable sad ending. We had to put ours down not long ago and it was about $300. Enjoy your puppy, but she is just a dog.
