Health And Wellness Index
What do you think of people that say foods like Innova, Orijen, Wellness and such are a scam?
The other day someone had posted a question about why Purina doesn’t make a high quality food and I was surprised by how many people answered saying that high quality holistic foods are a ripoff and that feeding something with corn and grains doesn’t matter one bit. Not only from my own experience with my dog, but from working at a pet store that sold foods like Innova, I have seen how an improvement in the dogs daily diet can benefit the dogs health greatly. What’s you’re opinion? Do you feed a “premium” kibble? (I understand that a lot of users here feed raw and that’s great too!) I guess I just wondered what other people thought of this.

I figure everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I can only go by my own experiences. When I was in vet tech school…alllll those years ago, we were pretty much given as much Eukanuba as our dogs would eat. It was a perk of being a vet tech student. So I fed it to my starting lineup of show dogs. And I watched their conditon go down. Their coats became brittle and sparse, their weight suffered. They didn’t muscle up in training. Their energy levels were down and they had more gastric upset incidents on it. Their skin even got flaky and greasy. I switched, they got better. I gave away all my free Eukanuba to the shelter.
