Free Quick Weight Loss Advice
I can’t stay full?!? Help!! DIETING!?
Today I had a banana, 6 oz of fat free yogurt, 1/4 cup of egg whites with tomato, onion, and a slice of all natural mozerella cheese, a slice of whole wheat bread, and a really small baked potato!! And it’s only NOON!! I am not getting full!! I’m supposed to be on a diet to lose 10 lbs, and I normally get around 1200 calories a day, plus cross country practice. And Im never hungry like today! Please give me advice to kill my hunger QUICK!!
Any weight loss tips?
Ps I’m a 16 yr old girl, I’m not overweight, but losing 10 pounds would still be healthier for me.
…1200 and cross country? Your body is probably in starvation mode. Hunger is your body’s way of saying it needs more to function properly. Diets with too few calories actually make it harder to lose weight, because your body wants to save all it can (your inner cavewoman thinks it’s a hard winter and she’ll need the fat to keep her warm). I would up your caloric intake to at least 1800. That’s still less than a maintenance diet, but pulls you out of starvation mode. It’ll help your body lose fat.
That aside…
Staying sated is easier if you eat more fiber than you have been. Veggies (not the starchy kind) will help. Complex carbs like those from whole grains will fuel your cross country practice. And proteins will support your muscle development. You should try resistance training to build long lean muscles. You don’t necessarily need to bulk up, just small well-toned muscles will work. More muscles, more calories burned, even standing still.
