Tone Up and Lose Weight?
Okay, I REALLY want to shape up for my school year. I am fourteen and according to a BMI calculator, I am at a healthy weight for my age, height, and weight. But, I still feel insecure about my body. I have fat on my thighs & stomach and I aspire to lose about 20 pounds by September. What can I do to tone up those areas? Also, what would be the best weight loss plan or diet for me? Ideally, I would like to keep my boobs and my butt just the way they are. LOL. Right now, I am on a fat-free, sugar-free, and low carb diet but it’s killing me because I can’t eat crap.and then I have almost no energy to work out. Please don’t be mean and give me appropriate answers that answer my questions. Thanks bunches!
Ok, I was about fourteen when I started feeling like I needed to tone up and lose weight. I did it all wrong, heres a good start for you, so you won’t lose your butt and boobs.
Don’t cut out carbs completely, you will be too tired, grumpy and you wont be able to concentrate. Instead, any carbs you eat, i.e. pasta, rice, bread, etc. try to eat brown or granary. You need the carbs as this is what you burn when you exercise.
Instead of going fat free, try to eat olive oil instead of butter, you can spread it on toast, put it on pasta, its really good for your skin, loads of vitamin E, stops you getting wrinkly.
With your meat, fish (protein) portion, just have a little bit, the size of your palm and no bigger.
Don’t skip meals.
Don’t eat after 6.30pm.
Don’t drink any alcohol. I know you are only fourteen but I used to drink at your age so I just thought I would throw that in.
Exercise every day for 30 mins. Walking briskly, dancing, swimming, whatever you like.
Whatever you decide to do, dont make yourself ill. Keep focused on your goal. Don’t starve yourself, remember if you do the 30 mins exercise a day and eat your carbs you will keep your butt and boobs, if you dont eat properly you will starve your body of nutrients and you will lose fluid and end up really boney and lethargic. And you will look ill, pale and it will just be rubbish. If you do that for 4 weeks, do some sit ups and other bum and thigh exercises (have a look on internet and try out different exercises) then you will be looking toned, healthy and you will be sweet.
