Petco is using an abundance of P-O-P materials to introduce a line of natural dog and cat food.
The pet chain is using dedicated endcaps to help launch Wellness, a natural pet food line from Tewksbury, MA-based Old Mother Hubbard’s. Additional materials include shelf signs listing product attributes, along with window clings, stanchion signs and aisle violators carrying the brand’s tagline, “Unconditional Love. Uncompromising Nutrition.”
Petco touted the brand’s arrival on the cover of its June 29 circular, which also positioned the chain as “Your Natural Food Headquarters.”
Wellness is also sold at independent pet stores, organic grocer Whole Foods Market and Farmington Hill, MI-based Pet Supplies “Plus,” which operates 215 stores in 21 states.
Elsewhere. signs near Petco entrances tease an exclusive brand of pet products developed by Cesar Millan, star of National Geographic Channel’s Dog Whisperer. That brand is expected to launch sometime this summer.
San Diego-based Petco operates approximately 850 stores in 49 states.
