Best Weight Loss Routine At Gym
Body Weight/Fat Loss via Lifting Weights?
I used to weigh above 200lb’s and have lost a lot of weight about 40-50lb’s over the past few years via a combination of routine cardio and severely limiting my calorie intake.
However; I have since put my body into “starvation mode” “and slowed my metabolism. I am now unable to get rid of my last bit of body fat (located mostly in my midsection stomach area.)
I am looking to get my metabolism back to normal by getting my calorie intake back to normal amount, and adding weight training to my workout routine. I am NOT looking to bulk up at all, i generally prefer my skinny physique. I am mainly looking to get rid of all of my body fat, especially in my stomach and love handle” area.
I am now in the market for a set of weights for my home so I can begin weight training. What are the best workouts for full body weight training? What set or machine should I get? I do not want to have to join a gym. I prefer to work out at home.
Increasing your metabolism isn’t that difficult. I would recommend eating every 4 hours, not a full meal, but a snack. By snack I mean 6oz of no fat yogurt and an apple. This will keep your metabolism up during the entire day, while limiting “empty” calories. Another way to speed up metabolism while burning excess fat is through cardiovascular exercise. I see you do this already, if you want to avoid the “bulk-up” from lifting weights I would stick to this routine. Varying the workout i.e. running, rowing, boxing, etc. can help you avoid becoming burnt out. Hope this helps, feel free to email me with any further questions.
